The tickets can be purchased at ticket machines at the train station or inside the bus, ATB offices, ATB mobile app, or tabaccheria [/ta.bak.keˈri.a/] shops.

Buying Bus Tickets via Mobile App

  • You can download the application called ATB Mobile app by clicking here. With ATB Mobile app you can find Bergamo and its surrounding municipalities public transport routes and timetables, purchase tickets, receive information about parkings, LTZs and the bike sharing La BiGi service.
  • If you buy your ticket in tabaccheria shop, you might need to validate it as shown in the photo below. Validation means the machine stamps the date and the time of when your journey starts. As the single tickets are valid for only 75 minutes.

You can only tap once with one card per traveller. You cannot pay for 2 or more tickets with the same card. Please note that this machine will not print ticket.

Bergamo Airport Bus Timetable 2025

The timing of the bus changes depending on the season. You have to check on the website https://atb.bergamo.it/en/public-transport/routes-stops-and-timetables (click find). The timetables change  depending on school / holiday seasons, and on the day of the week. The schedule is different from Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Sometimes the bus might be delayed, therefore please plan your trip ahead and try to make it to the airport at least 2 hours before your departure. Even 3 hours, during the holiday season, fashion week or expo, as due to long security queues, there is a possibility of missing the flight.

Pro-tip: Take the bus No.1 from the bus stop called Porta Nuova rather than the train station in order to avoid the crowd and get a seat on a bus. The bus stop is located in front of the pharmacy Porta Nuova (photos below). You will see an airplane sign at the bus stop, as shown on the photo:
